Hi please keep me anonymous,I am 20 years old lady and I am an Orphan,I lost both of my parents at the age of 13.They diêd through car accident,During the funeral,A lot of family members came to bury my parents when the funeral was finished all of them started to go back where they live, They abandoned me telling me that they would come back for me as by that time I was still schooling,They never did,not even to call me.I started to live alone in the house,I used to depend on my neighbours they were the ones that were feeding me,I started dating an old guy who was 13 years old than me as I needed money to support myself and for me to pay my fees,My parents passed away when I was in primary,So when I started high school money for fees was needed,that's why I had to do what I had to,by dating a person with money as he will help me,but then I was never happy he was emotionally abusing me as he knew my situation, when I started doing grade 12 last year I broke up with him because I was fade up,Even though it was hard supporting myself, I still managed to pass my matric with good results and I am a first year student at varsity, I got a bursary
But then my problem here is my family that abandoned me when I needed them, They are starting to show up and check up on me,And they are always asking me if I need something, and to be honest right now I have learnt how to stand up for myself,I don't even consider them as my family,I don't want them to be part of my life anymore,All I want is to be alone,Please I need advice am I doing the right thing by keeping them away from me?
