I'm a young lady who's car was taken away by an abusive ex boyfriend. Things were okay until he went through my things and found my bank statement since I was hiding from that I had money saved up. He convinced me that I needed a car, yes I wanted a car and I told him why I wanted it...I needed an 8seater car to transport teachers to and from school, I guess he already had everything planned out. One day he asked us to go out, I excitedly agreed, he then convinced me to buy the car right on the spot, I had left my ID so he said we can use his then we can later change the ownership and I trusted him I won't lie, I agreed and bought the car.
Few months after, he demanded we take the car back since it was holidays, I drove the car then one day when I was at my friend's house he came with police and proof that he's the owner, they took the car and he sold it. I tried the courts and they said there's nothing they can do since it's under his name. Deep down I want my car back, I have even lost the phone which had an email that I sent him my ID so he can change the ownership, which he ignored....that was 2020. Is there anything that I can do to get my car back or make him pay back the money I bought the car with?? Please Help!!! I'm slowly getting depressed in a way that I drink almost everyday because I had a plan to better my life and he fooled me. I want him to pay.
